Africa as a cheap source of labor. What is that about?

This only happens to people fighting for their freedom. People still fighting for their place in the world. But why is it so?

I firmly believe that freedom is not granted without effort; to attain freedom, one must demonstrate a genuine desire for it. Freedom emerges from a demand for autonomy, encompassing mental strength?—?the capacity to think independently and make choices without infringing on the freedoms of others. Observing the global landscape, where nations are preoccupied with domination and control over others, prompts a contemplation: Who is actively undermining the essence of freedom through such aggressive pursuits? I mean everyone seems to be trying to enslave someone on their wake. What is that all about??

African aspect of colonization

Africa has yet to experience true freedom, as external interventions continually interfere with its affairs. This raises profound questions: Are we as Africans aware of this situation? Are we prepared to claim our actual freedom? Can Africa lead itself without foreign interference? And can the foreign entities allow Africa to thrive without their interference? These inquiries persistently echo in the minds of many. But have been following the recent demonstrations in Kenya? Are you listening to what the young people are saying?

Foreign interference has deeply entrenched itself in African affairs. The continent’s history is marred by a legacy of subjugation, prompting introspection: What is truly unfolding? Young Africans, delving into their history, uncover unsettling truths that sometimes is overwhelming. Institutions show up to empower Africans but is there a corruption of these institutions by both internal and external forces or what goes on there? Are we having meaningful contribution to the global stage? Are the contributions visible? Are they appreciated??

There seems to be a lot of dictatorship on how Africa should present itself for us to be acceptable and this is a whole topic.?

The notion of Africa as a “sleeping giant” arises from the suppression of its authentic expression during colonization. Individuals were penalized for embodying their African identities, reminiscent of the “monkeys in a cage” analogy. With time your own society will restrict you showing up authentically as that was always meant with some form of punishment. This history of demonization and punishment for expressing African authenticity underscores the urgent need for Africa to reclaim its voice and autonomy.

Independence for Africa

We still operate within the same borders put in place by the colonial master. We are limited by them as a continent and can’t even trust each other to continue the ubuntu thanks to this notion.?

Reflecting on Africa’s journey towards independence reveals a complex mix. Independence has not automatically translated into prosperity and justice for all Africans. Yet, amidst these challenges lies the opportunity for Africa to redefine its independence, assert its agency on the global stage, and fulfill the aspirations of its diverse peoples. Achieving this requires collective effort, sane minds and unwavering commitment from leaders, activists, and citizens alike. Only through such collaborative endeavors can Africa overcome its remaining hurdles and realize its full potential as a continent of prosperity, peace, and genuine independence.

Africa is a butterfly breaking from the cocoon. And I am here for it!

True African Independence would lead to a thriving global aspect

True African independence would signify abundance for the entire globe, given Africa’s vast potential. However, this potential remains largely untapped due to external constraints. Only the inhabitants of the land truly grasp its inherent richness, both consciously and subconsciously. The goal is not about greed or forced coexistence but about embracing an Ubuntu way of being, recognizing the interconnectedness of all things. We leave no man behind. When one part of the world suffers, the entire fabric of existence feels the strain. The history of colonization, which capitalized on people’s problems, is a stark reminder of humanity’s forgotten paths. People have the capacity to create problems solely for financial gain, and others initiate wars for personal benefit. Such behaviors represent an inhumane mode of existence.

Believing in Africa’s return to an Ubuntu philosophy, where no one is left behind, is a powerful vision. The land is vast and abundant enough to provide for every child but cannot sustain the greed of one individual. The African people aspire to live their African dreams, remembering who they were. We are not cheap source of labor to anybody but we are forced to become so as to survive. But Africans are awakening and this has to change.?

However, the question remains: Will foreign countries and internal forces allow this transformation to occur? Will the corrupt mindsets allow change that will save not just a few but everyone??

The Ubuntu philosophy, deeply rooted in African culture, offers a compelling vision for humanity. It challenges us to reconsider our notions of identity, success, and community, urging us to recognize that our individual well-being is inextricably linked to the well-being of others. As the world confronts increasingly complex social and environmental challenges, the principles of Ubuntu?—?empathy, interdependence, and communal responsibility?—?provide a hopeful and necessary roadmap for building a more harmonious and sustainable future.

?‘I Am Because We Are’ is the philosophy in shaping a better future for all. The essence of Ubuntu lies in its community-oriented worldview, contrasting sharply with the Western notion of individualism. It teaches us that our identities and humanity are shaped through our interactions with others.

However, achieving true African independence and realizing the potential of Ubuntu in modern society requires overcoming significant obstacles, including historical legacies, internal divisions, and external influences. The path forward involves integrating Ubuntu into global discourse, fostering more inclusive and sustainable approaches to solving complex global issues, and acknowledging the diversity of experiences and contexts within Africa.

It requires a collective effort to transcend the limitations of the past, embrace a philosophy of interconnectedness, and strive towards a future where abundance is shared equitably and humanity’s potential is fully realized.
