Africa: Beyond the CLS
The CLS or Country Limitation Schedule of the U.S. Eximbank -?determines the financial support that enterprises and banks can receive in selling to foreign countries, kingdoms, principalities, etc. Enterprises get ECI or Export Credit Insurance, while banks receive guaranties - the sovereign full faith and obligation guaranty of the U.S. government.?
The U.S. Problem
The U.S. global trade impediment lies with its most efficient and automated trade financing and settlement process - a process now called Infor - the heir to the World Trade Center Associates’ process developed by Guy Tozzoli:?
The U.S. in pursuing what Guy Tozzoli invented in the 1970s with World Trade Center Associates, (I was there!) has created Infor, the successor to TradeCard and GTNexus/Infor, now?Infor, affiliated with Koch Industries, America’s second largest private fortune, and a proponent of fossil fuels. Infor uses its onboarding process to exclude enterprises that would develop and export alternatives to fossil fuel- driven energy products and technologies.?
Africa
Africa need not depend on a fossil-fuel addicted U.S. and its Eximbank CLS to obtain the support needed to develop a non-white native entrepreneurship - a process at which the U.S. has failed miserably:
after stealing the land of Native Americans and our self-appointed declaration of being "lega'l immigrants.?
The New York Times: How Italians Became ‘White’ - October 12, 2019:?
Congress envisioned a white,?Protestant and culturally homogeneous America when it declared in 1790 that only “free white persons, who have, or shall migrate into the United States” were eligible to become naturalized citizens. The calculus of racism underwent swift revision when waves of culturally diverse immigrants from the far corners of Europe changed the face of the country.
As the historian?Matthew Frye Jacobson?shows in his immigrant history?“Whiteness of a Different Color,”?the surge of newcomers engendered a national panic and led Americans to adopt a more restrictive, politicized view of how whiteness was to be allocated. Journalists, politicians, social scientists and immigration officials embraced the habit, separating ostensibly white Europeans into?“races.”?Some were designated “whiter” — and more worthy of citizenship — than others, while some were ranked as too close to blackness to be socially redeemable. The story of how Italian immigrants went from racialized pariah status in the 19th century to white Americans in good standing?in the 20th offers a window onto the alchemy through which race is constructed in the United States, and how racial hierarchies can sometimes change.
On a personal note: Reading Brent Staples’ How Italians Became White?? and knowing a great deal about entrepreneurship and international business on Long Island - the Island of Harry Chapin:
