AFI shortlisted for Digital Development in the 2025 IAPA Awards
Rolling into January with some great news! The International Awards for Powered Access 2025 (IAPAs) shortlist has been revealed and AFI-Rentals has been shortlisted for the Digital Development Award for developing our Bespoke Resource Planner.
Jordan Hardcastle , Operations Manager (Operated) at AFI-Rentals comments:
"Our digital project involved creating an advanced automation system for allocating labour and assets across our fleet of truck-mounted platforms. The system optimises route planning, operator assignments, and resource management using a dynamic, real-time calculation engine. The digital project technology has revolutionised AFI’s resource planning, logistics and transport operations."
The 2025 edition of the IAPAs promises to showcase the industry’s commitment to safety, sustainability and innovation. AFI's sustainable, efficient, and customer-centric system integrates automation, real-time data, and environmental considerations.
The awards ceremony will take place on 13 March 2025 at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, Dublin, Ireland, on the same day as the IPAF Summit.

AFI-Rentals Continues Delivery Fleet Expansion
We've enhanced our logistics capabilities by adding eight new Scania delivery trucks to its fleet. This investment, comprising six Scania P420 32-tonne and two Scania P320 26-tonne trucks, is the latest in a series of delivery fleet upgrades, bringing our total investment in Scania products to over ￡5 million.
The new trucks are equipped with state-of-the-art bodies from vehicle body builders PPS Commercials, offering the latest access specifications to meet the evolving needs of our diverse customer base. The addition of fold-forward ramps, designed to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, underscores AFI’s commitment to sustainability. Other safety enhancements include edge fall protection, side walkways, and advanced safety lighting.
