Aesthetics - Democracy And Redundancy

Not getting into the different art or media movements - At first there were paintings, trying to copy nature and surroundings as it is in different ways. Then came the camera, which did the copying job much better than the painters. Hence the painters, to keep themselves important tried to get out of the "Copying as it is" part and started breaking the rules as a result Expressionism, Surrealism, Dada crept in. The ramblings of getting out of the ordinary we can even see in Cubism of the Twentieth Century.

Then slowly this breaking of rules syndrome infiltrated the camera space. On the other end moving pictures (now known as video) came in to being. It too after a steady lapse delved into the idea of breaking rules of continuity.

Next there were interruptions from radio and television and finally we reached the computer screen.

Unlike its predecessors in media the computer along with the internet was not that much of a revolution in content as it was as a medium. Hence it thought of DISRUPTION based on its media characteristics and not that of content. This breaking of the rules or disruption whatever you say, of the media space resulted in spurring in content diversity.

The coming of age of popular media tells us the story of two friends Redundancy and Democracy.

That is the normal flow of anything on this earth created by nature and of the things created by things created by nature, even Darwin have put this in his own words.
