My Top Picks for Microsoft Build
Michelle Sandford

Everyone who knows me knows I love Developer Conferences! And in my current role, and location, I have close to zero chance of getting to Microsoft Build...
But all that has changed now... in the before-times to go to a Conference you had to actually Go to the Conference. In a peri-apocalyptical world, we do not Go anywhere. We sit at home and connect to the world via Microsoft Teams or Skype [Note: other conferencing tools are available]. And while I do not have the joy of seeing the Tech Gods IRL - it does mean I can attend, in the same way as every other virtual attendee - excluded neither by permission, distance or money.
Build is Free this year! And Virtual. So Register today and attend from tonight [Note: I'm in Australia... other timezones are available].
So! What are my top-picks for Microsoft Build this year?
Obviously I want to see "Empowering Every Developer" with Satya Nadella. Closely followed by "Every Developer is Welcome" with Scott Hanselman and Friends.
"Recognizing Speech with a Few Lines of Python" with Jim Bennett.
"Hello World in 3 Languages" with Shana Matthews
"Microsoft MakeCode with Minecraft Python" Ankita Sharma
"Learn Studio Session: Create interactive bots for Teams" with Ojasvi Choudhary
The next one is a 4am session for me, but I'm gonna try and make it: "Student Zone at Build: Empowering the Next Generation" with Sarah Guthals.
Followed immediately by "DIY Tech for BFFs" with Chloe Condon April Speight - Not to be missed! No matter how early.
"G'day from Azure Down Under" with JT, Martin Abbott, Sam Alavi, Has Altaiar, Paul Conyngham, Azadeh Khojandi, Lace Lofranco, Kat Schmidt, Arafat Tehsin, Daniel Toomey and Elliot Wood. All the cool people (except me).
"Where would you host a quokkabot?" with International Conference Speaker and Front-End Ninja: Amy Kapernick and her side-kick Aaron Powell
You don't have to see a lot of sessions, but register and check out a few - after the world returns to normal, we might never have the opportunity to connect like this again - so dive it while you can and Learn, Connect, Code #MSBuild
