Aerospace & Defense: 2024 Surge for Top Talent.

Last year, an already strong market, the Aerospace and Defense [A&D] witnessed a market demand “revival.” This trend is expected to continue in 2024 and well beyond, leading to a higher talent demand. Due to this factor, A&D are taking revolutionary steps to highlight its benefits, perks, continued commitment to upskilling talent at scale. With the” all hands-on deck” increase, in product demand, coupled with a third of the current A&D workforce slated to retire in the next decade or less, this makes for challenging times in acquiring top talent. If you’re looking to break into the industry, the time is now. Several new trends in 2024 reflects a powerful punch into what has, is and will change the industry now and years to come. To name a few, AI & Machine Learning, Vehicle (Unmanned) Production, Aerospace Sustainability and Transformed Propulsion Systems. It’s no secret, global affairs affect supply and demand, presently and in times of conflict, you can expect an increase in production and innovation. This requires the industry and its organizations to be agile to meet the demands on of a global scale. The growth estimated over the next several years is substantially stunning.

Growth led by geopolitical tensions and weapon stock depletion, in some cases, while disconcerting, also can bring about exciting technological advancements for the industry, increasing innovation and investment into defense capabilities. Aerospace and Defense is responsible for more than 2.5 million jobs in the United States, alone, this number will increase as the industry’s CAGR growth is projected to swing upward of 8% for 2024 to 2026. The job out looks for Aerospace and Defense looks strong and shows no sign of slowing down. If you currently work in the space, you should breathe a sigh of relief as job security looks favorable and if you have always wanted to contribute to the mission, research your options and educate yourself on this exciting and new possibility.
