Recently, I was talking to Stewart Marshall, Mr. SaaS himself. As the conversation flowed, I came to a question—Why does anyone buy anything? What are they looking to achieve???
The answer is rather simple. The buyers want something better. In effect, all of us want something better.?
What, then, is ‘better’??
Let’s look at defining ‘better’ in the sense of doing business. There are five reasons why one does business—one does it to?
In essence, all of these are aimed at achieving better outcomes. And answer this honestly—did you not get into the business that you are running to improve on what is there today and to provide a better outcome for tomorrow? Sure enough, you did! You always strive towards a better business outcome.?
Wanting a better business outcome?
Take the example of one of our recent partners, Locumate. The platform is Australia’s locum marketplace that connects Locums and Pharmacies. The co-founder of Locumate, Kavita Nadan, is a pharmacist herself. She lived, first-hand, the experience of picking up endless calls to get a Locum to come and help in the pharmacy, and the frustration of seamless invoicing, among others. She wanted ‘better’ for herself and endless others like her. That’s how she and her co-founder, Surge Singh, brought together the domain expertise and technical skillset, respectively, and founded Locumate.?
Kavita and Surge wanted better outcomes. In doing that, they have managed to change the dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry in Australia.??
What most business owners and start-up founders want isn’t, in essence, different from what Kavita and Surge want. The reason may be one or many of the abovementioned ones, but the end is always a better outcome.??

Take better actions if you want better outcomes.??
As a business owner or a start-up founder, you might have set yourself a business outcome. It could be improving profits, retaining customers, or making the world a better place, for that matter. Regardless of the outcome you envision, having one is like setting up a goal for the business that:?
Defining outcomes, however, is just the start. Better outcomes call for better actions. As Albert Einstein once said, “We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."??
And isn’t that what having a business means—finding a viable way to solve a problem that has affected more than you and ensuring a market for it (in technical terms, your business needs proof of concept and product-market-fit)???
Well, in theory, it is, and in practice, that’s where Aerion Technologies can help you build a sustainable and profitable business.??
How can we help??
My co-founder, Anthony, and I, envisioned Aerion Technologies as a place where we help non-techs build better tech. A decade on and our ‘better outcome’ remains the same. We are striving to help businesses that want to do better.??
And here’s how we do that?
Over the years, we have partnered with many organizations, and our experience has taught us that our way of working with you, not for you in overcoming the challenges has worked wonders.??
Our DevReady process is designed for our team to work with you and your key stakeholders to deliver something ‘better’. So, if you, as a start-up founder or a business owner, are facing a challenge that’s taking all you have and yet there’s no light to be seen, please reach out to Aerion Technologies and we can work together and evolve to make something better. I look forward to talking with you.?

2 年Great post. Having said that, on the topic of “What is Better”? There is a Russian saying: ?Лучшее - враг хорошего? In rough translation: “Better is the enemy of Good”. It describes a natural tension and friction that exists between changing for something “better” while abandoning something “good”.
