Our team members that represented Socoro Digital at AEDF11 are still buzzing with inspiration after an incredible time this month's Aboriginal Economic Development Forum! As an exhibitor, the opportunity to connect with so many brilliant minds from diverse Indigenous businesses across various industries was such a privilege.
The welcome address on Thursday morning before the Blak Market expo kicked off, presented by NTIBN’s Jerome Cubillo (CEO) and Naomi Anstess (Indigenous Business & Investment Specialist), really set the scene for the sensational couple of days ahead. Jerome has such an endearing way of speaking that draws you in and wraps around you like a warm hug. His belief in and encouragement for those in his community and further afield is remarkable and genuinely heartfelt. Naomi echoes the same sentiments, and her words are strong and striking. Her message to the crowd anticipating the exciting days to follow cuts straight through to the heart and reminds everyone why we’re there, Blak excellence.
Jerome and Naomi are just two of the incredibly strong and steadfastly loyal NT Indigenous Business Network team. They all bring wonderful qualities to an important organisation, with the benefit of their members at the heart of everything they do. Each time we at Socoro Digital engage with NTIBN on many different technology projects, it fills up our cup and makes our work all the more enjoyable.
AEDF11 provided a unique platform for collaboration, networking, and the exchange of innovative ideas that are shaping the future of Indigenous business and economics. It was heart-warming to witness the passion and dedication of fellow exhibitors, each contributing to the growth and prosperity of their communities.
The convention also showcased within its attendees the outstanding talent, dedication, and innovation within the Indigenous business community. From tourism and construction to arts and agriculture, and everything in-between, the diversity of expertise was truly impressive. Meeting with Indigenous entrepreneurs and leaders allowed us to witness firsthand the brilliance and devotion that permeates every corner of these businesses.
We extend our most sincere thanks to NTIBN, Going North Agency, and everyone involved in making AEDF11 such a success, and for creating an environment that generates collaboration and growth. Your commitment to fostering economic empowerment within Indigenous communities is truly commendable.
