Why the SPICE+ Portal’s Company Name Reservation Process Needs a Change

As entrepreneurs, we know how crucial it is to get things right the first time—especially when it comes to naming our businesses. However, the current system for company name reservation on the SPICE+ portal only gives us one chance to fix a rejected name. Meanwhile, LLPs get two chances, which seems a bit unfair, doesn’t it?

I believe that allowing companies the same opportunity to resubmit their names would:

• Save time and money by letting businesses fix small mistakes without starting over.
• Make the process fairer and help build trust in the system.
• Minimize unnecessary delays and prevent costly rework.
