Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference
The 2024 Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference was a truly powerful experience for our team at The Davis System. Elected officials, organizers, and activists gathered to discuss the legislative agenda for the coming year, with a central focus on ensuring Vice President Kamala Harris’s election as president. We spent our time networking, setting up strategic meetings for My Body PAC, and developing a content strategy for the week. We left with renewed purpose, ready to bring these insights back to our communities.
Anthony Davis Jr. on BNN Media
Our CEO, Anthony Davis Jr., recently appeared on @BNN_Media for a Primary Day Election Special alongside local leaders and analysts. He shared his experience as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention and discussed the local and national implications of the upcoming election.
Constitution Day Panel at SSU
In honor of Constitution Day, The Davis System hosted a panel at Salem State University with over 90 attendees. The discussion centered on the importance of voting, with organizers from conservative states sharing their experiences on issues like women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and voting rights. We’re grateful to the Berry Institute of Politics for hosting us and helping foster this critical dialogue.
Organizing Accelerator: Year 2
We’ve wrapped up another incredible year with The Organizing Accelerator! Working closely with 16 fellows from 11 states, we provided training, mentoring, and networking opportunities to help them grow as community organizers. Huge thanks to @GroundworkProj and @NAACP for making this program possible.
Black Java Cuffin Season: ABCD Edition
Our client, James 'Jimmy' Hills, launched a campaign in partnership with ABCD Health Services to address public health concerns in Black and Brown communities. The event featured live music, food, and resources for safer sex practices, all with the goal of raising awareness and promoting health services. The Davis System was proud to manage event logistics and ensure its success.
