At a CPD seminar he gave in May 2008, DJS Jackson QC, now Justice Jackson of the Queensland Supreme Court, suggested that:
“Persuasion is a lot like selling… If you want to increase your chances of making a sale, you should make it as easy as possible for the Judge to accept your offer rather than the alternative offered by your opponent.”
