Dan Goldin, former NASA Administrator--On Advice He Would Give Himself as a 20-Year-Old
Dan Goldin, one of the most accomplished and longest serving NASA administrators in the agency’s history talks with Keith Krach about advice he would give to himself as a 20-year old. A great exercise for anyone to try. Goldin’s advice to a younger version of himself: “Focus.”
Goldin emphasizes the importance of living life fearlessly, and working hard--every minute--to squeeze everything out of life that you can. “Every minute I am working,” says Goldin, pointing out that he has worked, “60, 70, 80 hours a week” since he started working at the age of eleven.
Most important of all, according to Goldin: “Don't get diverted by people that are too nice to you. Go for the people that give you trouble. Take the path that's much more difficult. Never let up.” Sage advice from a man who’s accomplished more than most could even dream of.
