Advice for Young Professionals
Chris Jaeger is a service-oriented chemical supply expert and a customer-centric leader with broad expertise across our Semiconductor Materials and Delivery Systems and Services businesses.
Before transitioning into product management and business and marketing leadership roles, Chris started his career serving industry giants in semiconductor manufacturing. His experience in our MEGASYS? Gas and Chemical Services business gave him the foundation to apply his knowledge, skills and passion to many parts of the business.
What is Chris’s advice to young professionals? “Get as close to the customer as you can early in your career. If you really understand what customers need and want, you can impact the organization throughout your career.”
Chris has pursued roles that presented unique challenges. He attributes his career progression to his desire for variety and his proactivity in building relationships with leaders across the organization.
“Take the initiative and let key managers and leaders know what you’re interested in or what you want to do next. If they don’t know, they can’t help you.”

Chris encourages young professionals to get involved in their communities. Over the past ten years, Chris has led a team of fellow colleagues in building homes for local families in Puerto Pe?asco, Mexico, through a Phoenix-area non-profit Arizona called 1 Mission. He has also organized other days of giving events, bringing together fellow team members to feed the homeless.
“Our volunteer efforts foster team-building and give back to our community,” he shares. “Whether it’s building a house in Mexico or filling meal packets at Feed My Starving Children, we are making a positive impact together.”
We thank Chris for serving as an inspiration for us at EMD Electronics as a business leader and community builder.
