Advice About Touching From A Billionaire Mentor
If you or your team members don’t finish your to-do list every day…
This advice is for you.
Trust me, I know there are a ton of productivity hacks out there, but this one may be the best.
Touch it once. That’s it.
Touch it once.
If you get the mail from the mailbox, open it, throw out the junk, and deal with it immediately.
If you open your email inbox, read it, delete it, reply immediately.
If you do mundane tasks to onboard clients, send reports, etc., then automate it immediately.
If you need to make a decision, make it.
Here’s the catch…
That doesn’t mean you reactively respond to emails all day.
It doesn’t mean you reactively do whatever you think about.
You must be intentional with your time.
Schedule a specific time to look at your inbox.
Let the mail sit in your mailbox if you’re not going to get to it immediately.
Do NOT clutter your workspace/mind.
Do NOT turn yourself into a reactive do-er all day.
Audit your time.
See how many times you touch things.
Emails.
Decisions.
Tiny To-Do’s that keep getting pushed to tomorrow.
The idea of working out…
Now, with our clients, we set up a dashboard, so it’s painfully clear what gets touched more than once.
In our first 90 days together, our military veteran ‘business drill sergeants’ hound our clients daily to cultivate “touch it once” habits.
The result…
On average, our clients increase revenue by 33% in the first 90 days.
They realize how much time they waste by touching things twice…
Then, they usually take a vacation with the family.
They continue to grow the business in a fraction of the time.
Here’s a behind the scenes look at how it all works.
I like helping people:)
