Our Inner Monsters: A Halloween Insight ?? ?? Halloween—it’s the time of year when we love to dress up as monsters, witches, and ghouls ?? ??But let’s be honest, the real monsters we battle aren’t on Halloween night—they live in our minds. Fear, doubt, insecurity. These are the monsters that hold us back from living the life we truly want. We avoid these inner monsters because they seem too scary, just like we avoid the things that challenge us. But here’s the trick: the more we avoid our fears, the bigger and scarier they become. Yet, if we face them—even take a single step toward them—they begin to lose their power. For example, if you're afraid of failure, break down your goal into smaller steps and tackle the first one. It might still be uncomfortable, but you’ll quickly find that the fear shrinks ???? This Halloween, I challenge you to do something different. Don’t just face external ghosts; face one internal fear ???? Take one action—just one—to confront it head-on. Because when we face our inner monsters, we gain strength, courage, and freedom. And that’s more powerful than any Halloween costume. So tell me which fear you want to tackle?

For many, Halloween isn’t about treats and sweets – instead it brings feelings of unease, pressure to become involved and a general sense of feeling uncomfortable and/or unsafe. Here are a few tips to help support your child through the day: It’s ok if they don’t want to take part in Halloween activities – the first step is to ask them if they want to take part, and then work out what FUN looks like to them if they do. If they are worried about strangers coming to the door – opt out of trick or treating by closing the curtains and keeping the lights low. Any sweets you want to share can be put in a bowl outside so they can be enjoyed without you being disturbed. Don’t place any expectations on your child to join in with anything they don’t want to – and don’t worry about what anyone else might think about this either!
