Advice on Filling Out Sitecore MVP Application

The Sitecore MVP application is open and you have until November 30th to submit it. Here is some advice on filling it out:

1. For objective make sure you mention what you plan to do regarding Sitecore this may be within the community but as an ambassador may include speaking outside the community to spread the word there.
2. When filling in contributions realize this is more than blog posts although by default it may look like that. In the dropdown it has other things like references and other. So if you did GitHub projects then add them.
3. When filling in contributions you may see link and be deceived that this is online contributions however link in optional so if you spoke at a conference or group fill it in.

The form this year has been simplified and thus you may forget to put some of the wonderful stuff you did in there. In prior years Sitecore had different fields and comments to help you remember. I look forward to seeing a new batch of Sitecore MVPs. I applied however looking at what I was able to put in contribution I would be surprised if I get to be MVP this year.

I did a lot of sharing of others work and a lot of one-on-one meetings and messages with people but that does not really get reflected in the application.
