Adversity Knocks. Why me? Or rather who am I?
When encountering tragic and devastating events in our lives, we often ask ourselves this.
"Why me?" Why Now"?
Here is what I advise us all to understand and remember.?
It might ease the sense of frustration and anger that crawls right underneath.?
There are many pains we carry and that we've inherited in this world.?
And it's not necessarily because we have done anything wrong.?
Life is full of tough challenges, and adversity may be knocking at our door anytime.?
It barges in unexpectedly, with no warning signs to alert us.
We need to learn to accept that!
Many of the challenges are unexpected and can be difficult to comprehend.
I know. I have been there.?
As I write these lines…..??
Some of us are grieving the loss of a family member.
Some of us have lost our jobs and are battling financially.?
Some of us are struggling to hold our relationships together from falling apart.?
Some of us are struggling with severe health issues.
Some of us are struggling with deep depression and various anxiety disorders.
You see, each one of us must have a certain weight to carry.?
Something that will help us to dig deep and help us discover and wake up our discerning power.?
We need some friction for that.?
Life provides that for us, for our growth.
The universe has served everything that comes into our life.
Why the friction, you ask?
Even the most painful things are being served by the universe so that we may grow.?
So that we may learn to transcend.
Life is all about learning and growing.
Sometimes it is with a tragedy that we find our life's purpose.?
We can only truly live a meaningful life if we grow.?
The only way that we can grow is if we reform.?
The only way that we can reform is if we learn.?
The only way we can learn is if we are exposed.?
The only way we can be exposed is if we truly let go and allow ourselves to...
So how ought we to respond when adversity knocks at our door?
Learn to accept it.
As hard as it may seem. As unreasonable as it may be.?
We should all start by saying thank you and accepting our challenges.
We must never lose our gratitude and appreciation and be thankful for everything life unfolds for us.
Our body stores the emotions we're experiencing.?
Our mind collects the words we are consciously and unconsciously feeding ourselves with.?
This all sums up what we are feeling and expressing at this very moment.?
We need to refrain from holding on to the words that hurt us when life unfolds a traumatic life event.?
Once we do.?
We'd be released from pain and released from guilt.?
The only thing that makes it difficult for us to cope and to think straight is our thoughts.
We are all a part of a divine plan.
Sometimes an adverse event may be the hand opening the door to a much better and far more significant opportunity.?
Know you are being redirected toward your highest you.?Avoid grieving prematurely.
Destiny may need more time to manifest itself - weaving its intricate tapestry.

4 年Brilliant article, Gal. Completely agree! We can choose to be victims of adversity (which most of us will surely face at some point in life) or adopt the positive mental attitude approach by choosing to overcome it and grow! Thanks for sharing ????
