Adversity - Beware!

What I am about to share is extremely #personal. I am sharing it with the sole intention of reaching out to those who might be facing #toughtimes and reaffirming something that we hear very often – THE POWER TO HEAL IS #WITHIN!
A few days back, I was going through a rough time, some health issues, fights/ arguments with loved ones, unmet expectations, some regrets and grudges from the past that resurfaced to add to my pain.
I tried acting tough on the outside but by the end of one fine day, unable to hold on to the fa?ade, I broke down and cried my heart out. Then, I just spent some time with myself, asked God for Strength and after a couple of hours, I was back to being calm, relieved and at peace.
My inner journey of #transformation started a few years back and I am extremely proud of how I have started handling myself during such difficult situations!
A few differences in how I dealt with such situations THEN and NOW are given below –
1. THEN, I used to cry to be noticed, consoled, to have sympathies, and expected someone to come and say “Sorry”. NOW, it is I, Me and Myself ?? who took responsibility and ownership to bounce back.
2. THEN, it used to take days to come back to being my normal self, NOW, it took a few hours.
3. THEN, it required outside to change for my inside to change, NOW, it was absolutely Inside Out.
4. THEN, it was blaming, complaining and feeling helpless, NOW, its owning up and feeling powerful.
5. THEN, it was getting angry, shouting, fighting. NOW, its just a talk with myself to understand the pain and address it.
The crux is – it is absolutely normal to feel bad, crib, get upset, cry. Dealing with such #emotions can make or break our day and a sequence of bad days can actually ruin our life.
As a first step, its critical to acknowledge how you are feeling and the emotions erupting. Then have the ability and strength to bounce back. This is #RESILIENCE!
The power lies within us. We need to recognize, accept, acknowledge, and then use it to #transform our lives and engage with the world in a completely new way.
This #transformation can make you extremely powerful and accelerate your journey towards all your life goals, beautiful relationships, a great #career, amazing health, living up to your #potential and absolute peace and serenity within!
IF I CAN DO IT, SO CAN YOU!

4 年Thank you for sharing! It is said that life is not a problem to be tackled but a puzzle to be put together. I find this analogy helps to shift the mind towards identifying patterns of behaviour that do not serve us, coming up with creative solutions and taking ownership to put them into practice mindfully. It’s a big shift from feeling helpless to feeling empowered, energised and even enthusiastic to emerge out of a particularly distressing situation. Not easy but with practice, definitely possible!
