Adventuring Party Membership Open
Greetings everyone. New year, new branding for this newsletter. I'll still write about the Rules of Epic Engagement, in addition to all the other topics I want to cover.
You may be asking, what's with the references to popular roleplaying games? And what does that have to do with coaching? Let's address that.
I've got a huge love for Dungeons and Dragons. I play, I make scenery pieces for the games, and I've even experimented with creating ambient music. In other words, when I play, I'm all in. My imagination gets fired up, I get to be with my family and friends, and it's a wonderful time.
Why do I play? It comes down to this: when my character wins, I also feel like I've won. When my character sacrifices something for the good of the party, the real RJ feels like I've done something good.
If that seems like a bit of overkill, I understand. But here's the thing: much has been said about how humans react to books, TV, and movies as if the experiences on the screen are happening to us. Why else would our hearts race during exciting scenes? (Check this source out).
I feel that same effect during our games. It's an immersive and exciting world I co-create with my fellow players. When we do well, I feel great about myself and my part in it.
So what does that have to do with coaching? As coaches, many of us build our personal brands. Today's branding is much more than font choice and colors - it's about how people experience you for the first time, and what they say about you when you're not in the room (that is from my friend Michael Roderick - he is one smart cookie. Check his profile out here).
For me, I do my brand building in layers. I write to connect over here, build an experience over there, and it all turns into one big epic adventure. See where I'm going?
One day it occurred to me that brand building, world building like we do in Dungeons and Dragons, and storytelling are all different approaches to the same thing: engaging our tribe. Three legs on the same barstool, if you will. (I did just become a part time bartender in our live community, The Come Wright Inn. But more on that later.)
That is when the Quest For Epic Engagement began. I want my brand to be an immersive and exciting world I co-create with my tribe. I'm using all the same tools I've been using: bots, AI, games, etc. And now it's built into a cohesive world for all of us.
So. Your invitation has been virtually engraved. There's plenty of room to join this adventuring party. Along the way you'll be able to create a laser focused view of your ideal clients, learn how to engage them, and automate away what you don't need.

I've created our first quest. It's called "Serve Your Ideal Clients At Scale", and it's happening on Wednesday, January 10. Starting at 10 AM Central, we'll be working together for five hours (or until all the questions are answered).
This is a paid experience, and I'm capping the Quest at 30 people. I want to be able to serve every single person that signs up as best I can.
You'll emerge with three things:
There it is, your invitation to join us. Learn more here. And if you have questions, just DM me. I'm always around and willing to help.
All right my friends, that's all for now. Take care of yourselves, take care of each other, and I'll see you in a bot. ????

1 年I freaking love this so much. Shannon L Reagan have you met RJ Redden. You to talk, it will certainly be unconventional and could be epic!
