Adventure is in the Air

Everyday you wake up and prepare. You remain aware that this may be the day that your dreams come alive. Everyday is a new adventure. But it so happens that you are tethered to one spot. Your life revolves around the same things. Everyday is a realization that your hope can only take you as far as the rope that holds you back will allow. The rope holding you back being representative of your skills, friends, habits, job... maybe you are just not good enough for the adventure that you desire.

What good is an adventure if it is a limited adventure?

Adventure is in the air. At some point you stop pulling and tagging at your tether - your restrictive rope - and deeply inhale. When you exhale, it is clearer to you, that adventure is in the air. 

What you wanted all along was not to just break loose but also to experience a new scent before the end of time. Does is it smell like roses on the other side? Does it smell like roast chicken? Does it smell like chocolate? Does it smell like new shoes?

You always imagined everything on the other side to be heavenly. It never occurred to you that if you crossed past your restricted perimeter, you would drift off into the cosmos like the moon set free. You will drift far away. Maybe towards the sun or another smaller or larger star. You will drift away into deep emptiness. We will forget that you ever existed. You will become irrelevant. We might even never know about the fate of your adventure.

Yes, adventure is in the air; but, stick to your purpose. Stick to your destiny. It might look limiting, redundant, boring... but it will add up one day. You need to focus your energies on what you are good at. Eventually, like a magnifying glass focusing rays of light on a piece of paper, you'll spark a new fire inside. A fire that will enable you to accomplish whatever it is you were meant to accomplish before you leave this world.
