In rapid PCB design, multi-layer circuit boards are generally used. Multilayer circuit boards are made of multiple etched single-sided or double-sided panels that are laminated and bonded. Compared with single-layer and double-layer circuit boards, multi-layer circuit boards have many advantages, especially in small electronic products. 1. Multilayer circuit boards have high assembly density and small size. As electronic products become smaller and smaller, higher requirements are placed on the functions of PCB circuit boards, and the demand for multilayer circuit boards is also increasing.

2. The use of multi-layer PCB circuit boards is convenient for laying lines, the length of laying lines is greatly shortened, the laying lines between electronic components are reduced, and the speed of data signal transmission is also improved.

3. For high-frequency circuits, after entering the ground layer, the signal line will generate a stable low characteristic impedance to the ground, and the characteristic impedance of the power circuit will drop significantly, and the interception effect will be significant.

4. For electronic products that require high heat dissipation performance, a metal core heat dissipation layer can be installed on the multilayer circuit board to easily meet the requirements of special functions such as shielding and heat dissipation.

In terms of performance, multi-layer circuit boards are superior to single-sided and double-sided boards, but the more layers, the higher the production cost, the longer the processing time, and the more complicated the quality inspection. With the improvement of technology, printed circuit boards have more than 100 layers, mainly used in precision aerospace instruments and medical equipment.
