The advantages of large FRP storage tanks can be summarized from the following four aspects:
1) It is designed and processed with a vertical storage tank structure. It occupies a smaller area than storage tanks made of other materials, but its capacity is about twice that of other storage tanks.

During the production of large FRP storage tanks, a copper rod with a diameter of not less than 8mm is used to connect to the internal working surface of the tank bottom. The copper rod grounding wire should be reliably connected to the external grounding device inside and outside the tank through a disconnect card as much as possible. The grounding wire must not be shared with the lightning protection ground wire.
The grounding down conductor of the lightning protection net (belt) installed on the large fiberglass tank to prevent direct lightning strikes (third-class lightning protection building) should be insulated with PVC pipes to prevent the large peak and steepness of the required current from generating a large amount of heat on the down conductor and damaging the tank body. There should be no less than two independent grounding points for lightning protection and anti-static down conductors. The spacing between them should not be greater than 3om according to the metal tank down conductor method. The lightning protection and anti-static impact grounding resistances are 10 ohms and 100 ohms respectively.
