Homeschooling - Parents nowadays are more educated than before. They hold the capability to teach their kids the values and lessons taught at school. With this, the idea of educating children at home has also gained momentum.
And, this is what homeschooling is all about, teaching kids at home rather than sending them to any education providers.
Advantages-
·It helps to build a relationship between children and parents.
·Parents have control over their children. Parents and children become like a friend.
·Parents can decide how much time spend children on a subject.
·Freedom with external problems and a situation like bullies, peer pressure and bore down, etc.
·Parents can decide what to eat and what to not eat. There is no cafeteria food or canteen food. So health is also affected by this.
·An opportunity for your kids to learn great lessons from your life experiences
·It helps to protect your child from negativity.
·It helps to decide the flexible schedule that is good for you and your child.
·Provides an opportunity to pass your values on your child.
·Helps to understand what the hidden talent of your child is.
·It helps initiates discussion between parents and children where parents also learn from their children.
·In this, parents can demonstrate to their child that education is fun.
·Parents can take different methods that are best for their children.
·Parents can give religious and ethical values to their children.
·Parents can save their children from bad company.
·Patents enjoy their time with children.
·Take their child for a vacation.
Disadvantages-
·Homeschooling takes a lot of time from the parents.
·Parents have to spend 24/7 with their children.
·Children do not have options for sports, extra curriculum activities, etc.
·Children do not have options to interact with people and because of this children do not know about how to handle the situations.
·They can not make new friends.
·If parents do not have proper knowledge about the subject this affects the children's education.
·Parents have to worry about their children all the time. They do not have time to relax.
·Be around their children all day long. This can be difficult when children become restless and misbehave.
·Spend large amounts of money on books and other learning materials.
·Parents have to constantly motivate their children.
·Parents have to work very hard to become a good teacher.
