Advanced Learning for Volunteer Engagement Professionals

Advanced Learning for Volunteer Engagement Professionals

I often hear that one of the things missing from our profession is advanced learning and development opportunities for Volunteer Managers.

There are a plethora of courses and workshops that cover the basics of successfully engaging volunteers, but few are of value and interest to those who’ve worked in the field for a while, or hold more strategic roles.

For the last few years, I have been part of the faculty for the Advanced Volunteer Management Symposium (AVMS). This runs online, over nine weeks, and combines plenary sessions, keynote presentations and small group discussions called Circles.

The AVMS gives Volunteer Engagement Professionals from around the world an opportunity to connect, learn and grow in an interactive and engaging way that goes beyond the basics of volunteer management.

I’m pleased to announce that the AVMS will be back in 2025.

It will kick off in the week commencing 28th April and bookings will be open in January.

If you want to be part of this remarkable learning opportunity, then follow the Symposium LinkedIn page via the link below to make sure you don’t miss the booking announcement in the new year.

This is such great news Rob Jackson - I remember many years ago there used to be an annual advanced vol mmgt 2-3 day event (IAVM I think) and it was so powerful. I'm so pleased you're offering this - it sounds great (I almost wish I was still in the volunteering sector!)
