“Adults follow paths.?Children explore.?
Adults are content to walk the same way, hundreds of times, or thousands;?
perhaps it never occurs to adults to step off the paths,?
to creep beneath rhododendrons,?to find the spaces between fences.” – Neil Gaiman
Autumn is here, it is the season of colours. There is no time like this to go for a walk in nature. The truth is though, we spend significantly more time inside than outside, there is no question about it. Let’s make it a habit to go for a walk outside with your children, family or friends at least once during the day.
Walking is an excellent way to escape from screens for people of all ages and abilities. It is also a simple form of exercise.?
Fresh air and nature reduce stress and anxiety, strengthen the immune system, make you feel energised and the list goes on. More importantly it boosts your moods and productivity.
Dedicate some time to go for a walk in the woods this weekend, do not follow the same path you have taken before. Perhaps, you can let the children (teenagers) lead the way and explore a new path altogether.?
Make it fun and exciting. Enjoy your walk.
