Adsorption of activated alumina spheres

An important role of activated alumina spheres is their adsorption.

1. Adsorption of fluorine in water, activated alumina microspheres have a large adsorption capacity for fluorine and a high utilization of adsorption capacity. The actual utilization amount accounts for about 80% of the adsorbable amount.

2.Adsorb phosphorus compounds in water

Activated alumina spheres are used to treat glyphosate production wastewater. Activated alumina spheres have a good adsorption-desorption effect on this wastewater. When the glyphosate mass concentration in the original wastewater is 10,000 mg / L and COD is as high as 30,000 mg / L, The removal rate of phosphine is more than 98%, and the removal rate of COD is more than 50%.

Activated alumina spheres adsorb phosphate to water. Compared with activated carbon, y-Al2O3 has a higher adsorption capacity. The suitable pH value for y-Al2O3 to adsorb phosphate is 3-4. The adsorption conforms to the Fre-ndich isothermal equation, and the saturated adsorption capacity is 10 mg / g, which is 3-9 times that of activated carbon. Activated alumina spheres are a potential water treatment filter.

3.Adsorb heavy metal ions

Activated alumina spheres absorb zinc ions. Judging from the adsorption effect of activated alumina spheres on zinc ions, the effect of zinc ion concentration is very important. The adsorption equilibrium of activated alumina on zinc ions conforms to the Freundlich equation. Static adsorption kinetics books show that adsorption can be achieved between 8 and 10 hours. Balanced state.
