Ads That Grab Attention Like You’ve Shouted Their Name in a Crowd.

Ads That Grab Attention Like You’ve Shouted Their Name in a Crowd.

We’ve all seen an email, billboard, or tv ad that reeks of someone trying to take our money. It stinks of copy and paste, no emotion, sent to a million different people. Most business owners receive this message a few times a week, but never buy.

The reason these ads fail is extremely common… They talk to everyone and no-one at the same time.

It's like the sender is standing in a crowd repeatedly saying “Come over here” without naming or looking at anyone.

And many ads make that same mistake…

Give Readers a Name They’ll Respond to.

If you went to a crowd and called out “Michael”, everyone named Michael would spin around and look at you. It’s the same with ads. If you are a chiropractor, and the headline of your ad says “Does your back hurt when you wake up in the morning?” Guaranteed people with sore backs in the morning will read longer than anyone else.?

But if your headline reads “Chiropractor in Launceston.” it wouldn’t perform nearly as well. The first headline sounds like a person with a solution. The second headline sounds like someone promoting their services.

When you bring people in, you turn others away.

By calling out a specific problem that your potential client has, you quickly filter out the people who will buy from you, and ignore the people who won’t.

Businesses say the same thing as everyone in their field and suffer because of it.

People who start businesses often aren’t marketers - they’re electricians, dentists or dance instructors.

So when they realise that they need to promote their service, they check what the competition is doing (who also aren’t marketers) and copy them.

And it’s often some garbage like…

We’re cheap

We’re reliable We’ve been in business for 50 years

You never want to compete on price, because someone is always willing to sell for less.?

Reliability is not a selling point because it's assumed.?

Nobody cares how long you’ve been in business, they care about solving their problem.

If your business stands out, it will bring in more money. Ignore your competition and advertise why your product or service is the best solution to your customer's problem.
