Adoption of drones in the AEC world - some lessons to glean from for other industries

In the interview I read by Jeremiah Karpowicz, Chris Anderson primarily discusses the implementation of drones in the construction/ building industry - but his statements are worthy of note for adoption in other industries as well:
[On how to approach the integration of drones in a given field] :
"A lot of the superficial presumptions about an industry have to be tested by going out there and talking to people about the real structure, economics and pain points of that industry."
Lesson learned: Go past the presumptions - talk to people and find out the real pain points.
[On educating clients and opening their eyes to the new options that a new, drone-based approach can bring about]:
" What would they do with that data they can gather everyday? What would real-time awareness of what’s going on mean to you and your client? That’s kind of a mental construct."
Lesson learned: Educate potential clients. And also broaden their horizon to new options that previously simply did not exist.
Some more interesting perspectives on the adoption road of drones in the AEC industry can be gleaned from reading the whole interview here.
