Adopting these mindsets will help you do wonderful things in life

The choices that we make in our life define us. Whatever we choose today is what we will be tomorrow. As they say - you must learn a new way to think before you master a new way to be. That’s what I am going to discuss in this post. I am going to talk about how change in mindset helped me transform my life from ordinary to just fine, and then from just fine to awesome.

What I believe is that we all are amazing in our own way. But only a handful of us have an amazing life. Why so? Why can’t we all have an amazing life? Because we keep our mind dwelling in a confined space. And the suffocation in that confined space automatically kills the creativity, innovation and courage to come out of the box.

A little motivation, in such a case, can prove to be a blessing in disguise. I am hopeful that my two cents of wisdom will help you change your mind and will enable you to do amazing things with your life.

Stop judging yourself, you are awesome!

Your biggest enemy is your own mindset. It might sound cliche, but if you set up your mind on achieving something you are going to achieve it sooner or later. Take a look at the most influential people of today’s time and you will get to know that it was their strong mindset that helped them to reach the pinnacle of whatever field they chose to be in.

Michael Jordan missed more than 9000 shots in his career. But it was his positive mindset that kept him going. Jack Ma was the only person rejected by KFC out of the 24 people who applied for the job. But he did not give up, and I don’t need to mention what he has managed to achieve with his positive mindset.

If they would have kept their mind the hostage of thoughts that they are not good enough, the world would not have seen one of the best sportspersons ever and one of the most innovative entrepreneurs of today’s generation.

Keep your ears closed and let your eyes listen

Each day brings with it an opportunity to learn something new. When you stop to learn you cease to grow. One of the most significant lessons I’ve learned in life is to continue questioning the assumptions and learn how to challenge the processes. Because that’s the only way to better something that already exists.

Be desperate for knowledge. Like the world famous quote from Steve Jobs goes - stay hungry, stay foolish. If you have the hunger for learning, you can achieve even the unthinkable. But for that you need to keep your ears close to what people are saying. And let your eyes listen, observe what seems correct to you and get on with the task of achieving it.

As they say - the capacity to learn is a gift, the ability to learn is a skill, but the willingness to learn is a choice. If you want to do wonderful things with your life, then you need to make this choice.

Hard work is the key to success, and will always be

No matter how advanced technology becomes, the basics will never change. And the most basic fact for succeeding in life is to work hard for it. Before becoming what he is today, the Iron Man of real world Elon Musk had only three assets - his brain, his vision to change the world and hard work.

Of the three, brain is something we all have. Plus we all have innovative ideas, which can prove to be revolutionary if executed confidently. But the biggest factor that majority of us lack is the will to work hard for success. And that’s the reason why we continue to live an ordinary life.

Somehow if we are able to acclimatize our mind to working hard, success will come sooner or later. And don’t forget, inculcating the habit to never give up is the lifeline that will keep you going in your journey towards a happier life.
