Adobe Premiere Video Playback fix

So you don't suffer: just got a new Dell Precision 5510 and installed Adobe Premiere 2017 CC. The Premiere Project file I have been editing on my other machine wouldn't play the video in the timeline, program or media window.
- I updated my NVIDIA Quadro M1000M drivers. No go.
- I reinstalled Premiere 3 times, but no go.
- I opened the Project on my Mac: it worked.
- After digging thru threads and forums without solution, I contacted #AdobeSupport on their Chat. Sumeet Kumar Choubey took my case and was awesome.
Back on the Dell Precision, Sumeet had me create a New Project and then FILE> NEW > BARS AND TONE. The video wouldn't playback, but by scrubbing the playback head the sound came through (make sure to take off your headphones or turn down the volume when you do this, my ears are still ringing).
Sumeet then had me go to EDIT> PREFERENCES> AUDIO HARDWARE. Top box labeled ‘Device Class:’ use pull-down menu to change from ASIO to MME. Playback works!
Understand, Video Playback is tied to Audio hardware. ASIO was the conflict. ASIO is a driver utility which is used to switch I/O ports automatically so that you don’t need to manually change the inputs and outputs. Now that this is fixed, I love this laptop, renders really fast and the screen is very vibrant.
Thank you #AdobeSupport and Sumeet!
