Admit It You're An Impostor!

If you're starting out in the affiliate marketing business, you are probably feeling like you don't know anything. And in many ways you are totally right, since you've never done anything like this before. But if that's the case, then why would anybody listen to you?

You're really just an imposter aren't you?

You're no "expert" at all!

You're Not Alone

Would it help you to know that this is a very common problem when starting any new business? Even if like myself you have owned a business for YEARS, with any new venture you are really just a "newbie" again. I'm an afilliate marketing newbie too, so why should you listen to me either? Well for one thing, I'm not the new kid on the block when it comes to business startups.

And that's great news for you!

Why?

Because you get to ride on my coat tails!

It's Who You Know

Even though you don't know much about affiliate marketing yet, it isn't what you know but WHO you know that actually matters.

And on that front it's the same thing for me, because I've plugged into a SYSTEM.

I have a group of fellow affiliate marketing entrepreneurs who've been around the block a couple times who I can tap into as well.

I know a lot, but whatever I don't know? I can tap a larger community to find out for you! This is the real power today of becoming a part of something BIGGER than yourself.

Every Played Leap Frog?

Beyond that?

Take a page out of the wisdom of Robert Ringer. In his book Winning Through Intimidation he introduces the Leap Frog Principle. What is that you ask?

It's the answer to imposter syndome. Instead of waiting until you know everything to consider yourself an expert, you just "declare" yourself to be one from Day 1.

What? That's right!

Just declare it!

Fake It 'Til You Make It

How could it possibly work for you to call yourself an expert before you really know what you're doing?

The reason this works is because a lot of people know even LESS than you.

To be an expert to them, you only need to know 10% more than they do to get along. Then you just keep educating yourself and sharing. The people who follow you will always be the people who are a bit behind where you are.

Every business person does this, so join the ranks of the entrepreneurially educated.

There is a reason why "fake it till you make it" is central to how business is done!
