Administrative Distance
When you're in network field for so long, after a while you forget some basics concepts and you sort like work by instinct. One of basic concept I'd like to share is about Administrative Distance.
Administrative Distance (AD) is a numerical value used by routers to determine which route is the most reliable when you have different routes to same destination. The lowest the value more reliable it is. Each routing protocol has it's own value.
The table below lists the administrative distance default values of the protocols that Cisco supports.
