Adison giving back

Seven months ago, our team approached Seton Hall University’s Leadership program about partnering with our firm to create a workshop to provide students from surrounding inner city schools with a career exploration workshop.  Last week, the team at Adison Partners delivered our first Career Exploration and Interview Skills workshop to 35 high school students from Newark East Side and East Orange High Schools and it was an amazing experience. The team at Adison Partners built a program that targeted high school sophomores with an early interest in business careers. By targeting sophomores, our program offered two years of career exploration before these students embarked on the stressful decision to choose a college major. While creating the workshop, our team learned many of these inner-city students worked to support themselves during high school. We realized how critical landing their first job is to their success and education funding, so we also incorporated interview training to the workshop. Thanks to team Adison and the students of Newark’s East Side and East Orange High Schools for an amazing day!! More workshops to come!
