Adios folks! Thanks for the ride!

Friends and colleagues: March 4th concluded my professional employment journey spanning 50 plus years.?I have many to thank!?

My wife - Christie, the love of my life, was the remarkable support-agent who kept it all together through raising 4 accomplished kids, over 20 moves, domestic/foreign assignments - none of this would have been possible without her!?Multiple training requirements, deployments - domestic/foreign, and exigent assignments kept me from home for an aggregate of 5 years…thanks to her for keeping it all together, she is a SAINT!

Re my Law Enforcement career - 32 years…7 with Nassau County PD, and 25 years with the FBI, were exhilarating due to the people that I worked with and the Investigative matters addressed.?I’ll never forget the NCPD 6th Precinct and Inspector Mangan’s prescient counsel as I was leaving for the FBI - “Don’t ever forget where you came from!”?Wise advise that served me well during my FBI career.?My experience serving the public as a NCPD Police Officer greatly contributed to my success as an FBI Special Agent, while engaging with state, local and international LE partners - I am grateful to all my LE partners for your trust of me and the FBI that I represented.

Freeh - thank you for the International opportunities; Danny Coulson - founder/leader of the Hostage Rescue Team.?Crossing paths with countless great Special Agents, the finest representation of Fidelity Bravery and Integrity was/continues to be in the private sector - Edwin Pedersen - thanks Ed for the values that you shared with us all!

Special are the accomplishments of my son Greg Pyszczymuka who truly reflects what a student athlete can achieve in life…

And to my parents - Vasyl and Anna Pyszczymuka - Ukrainian POWs/Slave Labor, who met in a Displaced Persons camp in Germany after the conclusion of WW II, moving to Belgium while awaiting sponsorship to the US.?I bow to you in recognition of your sacrifices, your love and sustenance of family.?None of my opportunities would have been possible without your determination, toughness, love of democracy and faith!

Congrats SSRA Pyszczymuka! I still remember the day we met at GMRA. I thought I would be the first one into the Mountain, but I was wrong. You always lead by example (including being the first one in) and made me a better agent for it. Thanks for all of your dedication and enjoy your retirement!
