ADHD and the power of chasing dreams

This weekend is Formula 1. F1 has never been my chosen sport, however I recently watched the most eye opening documentary on the famous F1 driver Ayrton Senna.?
'With your mind power, your determination, your instinct and your experience as well, you can fly very high'?
Ayrton Senna
Ayrton Senna was a legend of the track, known for his race successes and also deep rooted faith. He was also involved in many track incidents with one of the crashes leading to his untimely death aged 34.
He wasn't diagnosed with ADHD but possessed many of the associated traits, ones I believe is what makes so many of individuals with ADHD great athletes:??
? Hyperfocus
? Relentless energy?
? Unwavering passion for driving and winning (Senna won 41 F1 races and three World Championships).
? Justice sensitive, he voiced his concerns about driver safety and his death brought about a rehaul of safety measures.

? Resilience: Nothing was big enough for Senna. Despite defeats and accidents Senna never gave up on chasing his dreams.?
Research suggests that ADHD may be more common in elite athletes than it is in the general population; up to 8% of athletes have the condition compared to 2% to 7% of the general population.?
There is a lot more research to be done in this area but it’s clear to see how athleticism and ADHD can work together in harmony - and produce incredible achievements. In my view when an ADHDer finds the thing that lights them up they are unstoppable. The relentless energy and firm resilience unite to make their dreams a reality.?
This is why I am passionate about ADHD and exercise (it is said exercise can be as effective as taking medication).?
When ADHDers find their strengths, they really can take on the world.?
Lets get Untangled and show the world what we are made of!
