ADHD Hour Edition 4: Staying Focused in the Face of Adversity

I've always been impressed with people who can stay composed and keep their shit together in the face of adversity. Normally, I'm impressed with how I hold things down when I'm faced with adversity, but I feel like the last few months have been different on many different levels. If you haven't been annoyed by my posts about me being homeless, you can update yourself on the chaos that is my life currently by reading about it in this Medium article or check out on of my recent LinkedIn posts.

Despite the fact that people treat you like shit when you're homeless and nobody wants you around their business, it is hard to just go on each day when say, you don't have a hotel room for the night x 5. A whole week of sleeping in random places will break you down to the core and if you are going through homelessness with somebody else like I am, will cause fighting but also it builds a bond deeper than anybody can understand. I have a whole thing I'm writing about this and will share - but first, I want to share what I'm working on, how you can see my work, and how you can make a difference while also getting something in return of value.

Web Dev Projects - Personal Portfolio, SvelteKit Hackathon, and My New Digital Garden

I have been using Deno a lot since I got into the JavaScript runtime last year and I recently updated my portfolio website with a Deno Static Site Generator called Lume. Well it turns out that I think what I made is crap and I have been working on an overhaul using Deno's Fresh Framework, amongst other technologies. I know that's a lot of links to other things that are not my new website, but I think it's important to share these links because I don't see a lot of developers turning towards Deno yet and I think that is a huge mistake - I've got a blog post in the works about that, but until then here is a brief preview of my new site:

I am also working on a digital garden which is kind of a public workspace, a blogging/notes zone, and a knowledge center that is also my own personal piece of the internet - learn more about digital gardens here. I have done a couple things actually - first, I created a digital garden page on Quora that hasn't really taken off yet, but you can be one of the first people to follow me and I will appreciate it and thank you for it. Until I publish my garden, I'll give y'all a brief glance at the front page design:

Newsletters and Publications to Follow

So I am creating a newsletter email course and will have more to come on that. Until then, you sign up for that newsletter now at this sweet landing page I made with ConvertKit. I am going to be restarting my weekly posts on this ADHD Hour Publication as well as on the MEAN Stack Developer newsletter, which is also going to get it's own website soon.

So it has been super difficult to create while homeless - I am asking for help to get us out of our situation.
