AdGlobal360 welcomes GTB’s Tathagat Chatterjee to its ranks
MarTech company AdGlobal360, a part of Hakuhodo Inc., recently announced the arrival of Tathagat Chatterjee who will be heading their Strategy and Planning department.
Erstwhile Vice President and Strategic Planning Director at GTB, a WPP company, Tathagat has worked extensively on the Ford India business, and brings with him more than 25 years of experience across fields like sales, marketing, and advertising, with a deep understanding of the automobile and Telecom categories. He has also undertaken several leadership roles in strategic account planning in the last 10 years, thus gaining a lot of expertise in the process. Tathagat has a detailed understanding of qualitative and quantitative consumer research techniques, segmentation, semiotics, and ethnography to unravel tensions, need-gaps, and defining sharp problem statements. Over the years, he has also focused on how the evolution of the Bollywood narrative has shaped consumer expectations, and become quite adept at trendspotting and analysing popular cultural trends. With all of this, he is anticipated to bring a new dimension to the strategy department at AdGlobal360.
In conversation about the appointment, Rakesh Yadav, CEO of AdGlobal360, said, “Tatha is an old friend of mine and an ace quizmaster. I can personally tell you that the experience and skills he has in strategic account planning and brand strategy are among the best that I have seen. We really look forward to working with him”.
Sharing his view on the new role, Tathagat Chatterjee said, “I am extremely delighted to be a part of AGL. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute what I learned with my consumer and market understanding with other seasoned strategic minds in the creative, digital, and tech space.”
He further added, “My areas of focus will be constructing new business strategies to maximise marketplace potential to ensure integrated storytelling, based on data, insights, and technology. As more and more businesses shift to online platforms and media, newer challenges have surfaced in the form of fierce competition and complex consumer journeys, which will evolve further in the coming times. I am excited to be at the cusp of the ongoing digital revolution and am confident that I will be able to deliver solutions to the best of my abilities.”
Tathagata has also served as a jury member at successive Effie India Awards and is a regular contributor of thought pieces on Consumer Behaviour in various industry forums.
