Addressing The Stigma of Network Marketing...
We've all heard of the words "Pyramid Scheme", but do we really understand the meaning before harshly criticising the person next to you?
Did you know a Pyramid Scheme structure was first introduced by Charles Ponzi in 1919 where he engineered a "top down" scam involving promissory notes payable in 90 days with a promise to repay investors 50% on their initial investment?! This is now an illegal and very risky 'get rich quick' scheme that contains no product or service, simply monetary buy in with emphasis on recruiting.
But you may still be thinking, its one of those pyramid looking triangles where only a few people make it to the top and become successful. And yes that can be true in some respect because like any traditional business you have a CEO, manager and employees who each get paid for their efforts. Not everyone going to be the CEO of their company nor wants to be! The difference being is that in a Network Marketing business model everyone has the opportunity to go right to the very top of the company. It's a level playing field for everyone who starts their own business, The beauty in this is that you don't have to wait for someone else to decide when you are ready for a promotion. You are in control and you decide by the amount of effort you put in.
What I've learnt over the years is that it comes down to your determination, grit, resilience and of course your mindset! Your mindset is the biggest hurdle to cross. We're our own toughest critic. The lack of a resilient mindset is often the reason why people quit this business. It's not that the business didn't work, it's them who didn't.

This industry is a decades old marketing model that involves selling legitimate products at fair prices directly to consumers who need them. Instead of distributing products to stores and relying on hired salespeople, companies use a network of distributors, many of whom started off as customers. Network Marketing is an opportunity to start a small business with flexible working hours with minimal start up costs.There are multiple levels of distribution as well as opportunities to receive revenue at each of those levels, which is why this marketing model is often referred to as multi-level marketing (MLM).
I have been fortunate enough over the years to have worked with some incredible business owners where I've been able to learn what it takes to run a successful business. Often it's a lot of hard work and determination, but also vitally important is the people in your business who support your vision and goals.
When I decided to embark on a business journey of my own, it's taken a lot of self reflection and growth within myself as an individual. After having children, life certainly changed in a good way, but I think at some point I actually lost who I was and who I wanted to be. And like any independent women I wanted to have more control of my future and who I surrounded myself with. These core principles enabled me to step into a business model that allows you to dream again whilst supporting other likeminded people to also follow their dreams and passion and light that fire in their belly again. The best and most surprising element to this business is our community of incredible individuals who all support each other and want to see you succeed, which is so refreshing in this day in age.
And so my journey begun with a Network Marketing company "Arbonne International". Arbonne being a town in Switzerland and the meaning "beautiful tree". I was attracted by its mission and ethos. Arbonne's founder Petter Morck, was a visionary of his time, embarking on a mission to develop and produce skincare that was unparelled in quality, purity and safety with beneficial results. But he also wanted the products to be affordable for everyone so he decided the Network Marketing business model would not only provide fair prices but allow an opportunity for anyone to earn an income from home. And 41 years on, his legacy still remains as he had always envisioned it would be. When I embarked on my Network Marketing journey I was already in love with the products, they felt amazing on my skin and I noticed improvements in such a short timeframe, so I was happy to say the least. Living a healthy lifestyle is also vitally important to me and my family but due to our busy lifestyles we often weren't getting enough nutrients to help fuel us. So by adding additional vitamins and minerals into our healthy diet I not only feel better within myself but my hair, skin and nails are so much healthy than before . So for me, when looking for a business venture it had to be what I believed in so I could recommend to others and for me this business model made complete sense.
The way we shop has certainly changed over recent years, which has revolutionised the way we purchase our products. I could see these changes occurring, coupled with the growing need to understand the products we're buying, what ingredients are used and how they're made due to the ethical standards of the company that makes them. I love the fact I'm not limited to my geographical area when sharing these products either, I can share them with anyone who is in Australia, New Zealand, UK, Poland, US and Canada. So who do you know in these countries? Are they looking to improve their health and wellbeing or even requiring an income to support their families? I've found now more than ever people are needing our business model.
