Additive Manufacuring Start-up series highlights global Innovation

Startups are key for the next wave of disruptive growth of Additive Manufacturing and pushing the envelope of Innovation.

AM Chronicle collaborated with Leading germany based venture fund, AM Ventures to initiate the Additive Manufacturing Start-Up Series to highlight innovative global start-up's working in the area of additive manufacturing. The series has so far covered 14 innovative startups since its inception, which includes Prayasta,?Cognitive Design Systems, Medoja , Lucid Implants , Incus, 9T Labs, Sintratec, Spentys, MetShape GmbH, Azure Printed Homes, Paanduv Applications, Xolo and SelectAM.

Are you an interesting Additive Manufacturing Startup and would like to be featured, write to us on [email protected] to be part of this series.

To further the initiative and provided startups a larger platform to showcase themselves, AM Chronicle have also announced the 3D Printing Startup Challenge in partnership with AM Ventures and ASTM International to promote the startup ecosystem in India, Asia, and the Middle East. The startup challenge will be hosted at AMTech – India’s Leading Additive Manufacturing Tradeshow on 2-3 December 2022.

Part 1 : Prayasta

Prayasta was founded in 2017 by Vikas Garg (CTO) and Shilpi Sen (CEO) to develop a solution for personalized 3d printed soft-tissue implants.

Part 2: Cognitive Design Systems

Cognitive Design Systems aims to revolutionize product design, by enabling engineers to generate and optimize 3D models or design for different manufacturing methods using Artificial Intelligence.

Part 3: Medoja

Medoja was founded in 2020 by the fantastic four to develop customized implants using novel biomaterials for dental and orthopaedic applications.

Part 4: Lucid Implants

Lucid Implants founded by Dr Nitin Bhola, Mr. Prashanth Ray, and Dr Pranav Sapkal designs, develops, manufactures and markets customised medical implants.

Part 5: Incus

Incus, founded by Dr. Gerald Mitteramskogler offers a unique Lithography-based Metal Manufacturing (LMM) to produce small and micro parts

Part 6: 9T Labs

Established in 2018, 9T Labs is working in the area of composite additive manufacturing and offers higher fiber volume content through its Red Series Additive Fusion technology.

Part 7: Sintratec

Sintratec is a Swiss startup established in 2014, manufacturing cost-effective and compact desktop SLS 3D Printers for professional use which process high-quality polymer materials

Part 8 : Spentys

Spentys is an orthopaedic software solution designed to integrate all parts of a digital workshop, from scanning to modelling and printing, for the 21st?century clinician.

Part 9: MetShape GmbH

MetShape GmbH is a start-up working in sinter-based additive manufacturing of small and micro metal parts.?MetShape GmbH technology enables manufacturing with exceptionally good surfaces.

Part 10 : Azure Printed Homes

Founded in 2019, Azure Printed Homes is fundamentally changing the construction industry by leveraging 3D printing technology using recycled polymers to prefab modern backyard offices, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and homes

Part 11: Paanduv Applications Private Limited

Founded by Adwaith Gupta in 2020 in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India, Paanduv Applications Private Limited have developed AM PravaH a dedicated world’s first all-inclusive 3D computational modelling software for Additive Manufacturing

Part 12: Handddle

Created in June 2020, Handddle was set up by Thomas Bourgoin, Pierre Marigo and Dylan Taleb. Handddle’s mission is to bring the power of data and artificial intelligence to the additive manufacturing industry, to secure, control and certify their production.

Part 13: Xolo

Founded in 2019, Xolo has been pioneering volumetric 3D printing called Xolography. Xolography is fast and can print objects as high as 3 cm in 1 – 3 minutes with a high resolution.

Part 14: SelectAM

Founded in 2020, SelectAM is a complete software solution to identify parts for additive manufacturing (AM), allowing the user to screen and define business cases from large part inventories to unlock the full potential of AM. The software simulates digital manufacturing workflows with most relevant industrial AM machines and materials available to provide insights on the technical feasibility, the economic potential, and the redesign opportunity of assessed parts.
