"I'm just not ready," or "I don't have the time," are other excuses we use to just not participate in our passions. Adding value to yourself is about breaking free from societal norms. It's about embracing the unconventional – whether it's learning a new skill or hobby, mastering a new language, or diving into an artistic passion. For instance, I am personally exploring an auto repair course. Some might find it unconventional, especially for a woman at my age. However, the ability to handle simple repairs not only empowers me but also keeps money in my pocket. Remember, the value you add is for you and you alone.

Consider online courses as a gateway to enhancing your skills and knowledge. From coding to cooking, the possibilities are endless. What about that hobby you have put off because you just don't have the time? Maybe swap your online time usage for that new interest. Life is short and you really need to enjoy the journey!

I am currently immersed in creating a pastel portrait for the Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition, I love doing portraits and pastels are my absolute favorite medium. It has been many years since I did my last one, so, this year I am making the time for it. What creative outlet have you neglected that could bring nourishment to your soul? Check with your local art galleries or art leagues for fun immersive artistic activities you can enjoy.
