I'm introducing my graduate students at Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies to publishing online -- LinkedIn, Twitter, FaceBook, Wechat, Weibo, Renren, Youtube, blogs, etc. -- and/or in print. I tell them if you publish a blog, an article, a book, etc., you add value to your career, your company or organization, and to your field or industry. So this semester, students in my "Personal Branding" course are collectively writing a short book for young professionals on how to build their personal brand based on their research, their own experience, and the experience of leaders they're interviewing. There is an added international dimension to the book: the international students will write a short section in their native language on personal branding from the point of view of young professionals in China, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. And the book will be available online -- and free.

9 年Jessalyn, I'll be posting it in a few weeks once we complete the first phase of the project. It's been a fascinating process channeling the energies of a divorce group of students from across the world.
