Adding value for installers at every step

Adding value for installers at every step

We are constantly looking for ways to add value for our installers, whether that’s improving operations or expanding our range. Late last year, it was announced we were stepping up our UK presence with the opening of a new manufacturing base in Barnsley.

It came hot on the heels of our decision to introduce the Deceuninck 2500 system to our already extensive range.? With the purpose-built North Division now up and running, we are using the site to focus exclusively on Deceuninck UK production, and are planning to add the 2800 system later on this spring.

With a customer base spanning the UK, we have chosen to boost capacity and choice and secure further growth for commercial and residential installers. What’s more, we're strengthening our portfolio with the addition of a range of aluminium products including AluK casement and Tilt and Turn windows, the Edgeglide? Sliding Door and Unifold+? Bi-fold Doors. Installations can be further enhanced with the high-end range of Uni-blinds available from Morley Glass & Glazing Ltd .

Robert Brearley , Group Managing Director, believes the time is now for Glazerite to boost capacity, expand its UK presence and broaden its portfolio. He says:

“As an ambitious business focused on the success of our customers, we wanted to make a step change in what we offer and how we do that. Opening a manufacturing facility in Yorkshire was a critical piece of the jigsaw, given the number of installers and connections we work with around the region.”

?With the Barnsley site focusing on Deceuninck and North West Division in Bolton focusing on VEKA UK profile, we are in a solid position to support installers, whatever their end market. Heritage is also covered too, with our Peterborough and Wellingborough operations manufacturing the popular Halo and Residence Collection ranges, along with the VEKA Vertical Slider.

So what drives us, aside from the success of its customers? Rob and his team are proudly focused on operational excellence in order to raise productivity. In turn, this drives up quality, which contributes to customer satisfaction – and success. It is a process that starts with investment in our people and machinery, welcoming £1million of machinery and other improvements in the last 12 months alone.?

New assets means improved capabilities, while the embedding of lean manufacturing principles and preventative maintenance has improved uptime and quality. In the background, refined business procedures and internal communications is engaging our employees to play their role on the journey to excellence for its installers and their end customers.

Rob explains: “We’re passionate about making our operations lean and efficient. We don’t stop at good; we strive for better every day to produce and deliver the very best we can for our installers. To enable that to happen, we encourage all of our employees to share ideas and best practice approaches to everything they do, whether that’s reducing waste, improving work processes or simply flagging opportunities to enhance what we do day-to-day.
“We also embrace innovation, leveraging the power of digital tools to improve visibility of stock and deliveries, and our overall flexibility. Multi-skilling our employees also keeps us agile and responsive to customer needs.”

Our customer base ranges from large-scale commercial installers to sole traders, tailoring our services and solutions to suit.

Rob explains: “Every installer faces their own challenges, from planning and building regulations to specific demands from the end customer. It’s our role as their fabricator to make meeting these requirements and expectations easier. We do that with our comprehensive portfolio, efficient operations and a proactive workforce, alongside the provision of technical and marketing advice and exceptional customer service.”

?By working together in partnership with our customers and staying one step ahead of their needs, the team can continue to add value, whatever the future brings.

We work hard to ensure everything we do improves our performance, service and quality for the benefit of our installers and take pride in helping them to succeed in their own markets.
