Adding Publications to LinkedIn Profile via Pubmed ID or DOI

Been using this nice "Pubmed to Linked In" Google Chrome Extension to add publications to my LinkedIn profile. Just need the Pubmed ID and the plugin then adds the paper information to the somewhat lame LinkedIn publication entry system.
LinkedIn definitely could make some massive improvements to their really limited Publications aspect of profiles. But this Plugin helps. Many caveats including that LinkedIn only thinks that one should have 10 coauthors. So much for large collaborative efforts.

6 年Hi Jonathan! This extension seems to have been broken for quite a while now. Any suggestions for a workaround?

7 年Hi Jonathan, This is a great tip! Thank you. However, I needed some additional instructions. I cannot find any in the Deepdyve plug in or anywhere else via searching. I am sure my search was not 100% thorough. I could get up to the point of installing the plugin on chrome, doing a pubmed search, displaying all my papers (with the Plug in being enabled) and finally showing the Deepdyve button showing up to the right of some of the papers. Then what? How do I actually download these into my Linkedin profile? Could you share further steps?

7 年An alternative method if your publications are attached to an item in "Experience", e.g. your business or place of employment, is to edit the experience and at the bottom, "upload" your CV. PDF is probably the best format. This is particularly useful if you have a lot of publications and want to sort the cream of them to the top, sort by topic, separate book chapters, whatever. This method also puts your CV front and central at the top of your profile.
