An Addict's Guide To Coffee: Quills Coffee
Today begins my journey to try every local coffee shop to Indianapolis. I started with Quills coffee, because it was a convenient stop to take my Comm Theory exam.
For each review I am going to get the same thing: A large Iced Mocha. This is my favorite form of coffee I have had across the board, and I feel it would be a good judge for me to determine the best places for your buck.
Quills recently moved in Indy to a much larger and more convenient area. They have better parking, and are closer to the action, so to speak, being just off the interstate! The shop has a great vibe and the staff are excellent, but how would I rate their coffee? Each score is rated out of 10, and then added up at the end! Starbucks is going to be the control beverage, so everything will compare. I will be rating: Taste, Size, and Value for a possible 30 points.
Taste: 6
It's not awful, but it isn't that flavorful either. For a drink that is going to have espresso in it, I need some zap, and this just didn't give it to me. I was a little disappointed, but maybe Mochas aren't the drink to get here!
Size: 8
Pretty standard for a large, at 20 oz.
Value: 4
This one was a little on the expensive side coming in at over $6.50+tax. It's good, but it isn't THAT level of good.
Total: 18/30
Given that this is my first entry, Quills reigns supreme, but that could change with my next shop! Where should I go next?? Let me know in the comments! Cheers!
