Addicted too bottled filtered tap water?

The Top Listed bottled water brands worldwide are sourced from municipal taps. How-wrong-have-we-gone that billions of dollars are spent on filtered tap water vs natural water crafted by Mother Nature?

Dasani, Essentia, and Aquafina - are all sourced from municipal taps in the USA.

This practice is far more common than you may realise.

I often read comments on social media on how bottled water is a scam - and I have to correct this because this is the furthermost thing from the truth.

If anything, the only scam is corporations selling you filtered tap water in plastic bottles. Talk about a pandemic! A pandemic of bottling tap water for profit. Natural waters are an entirely different category of water as these are sourced from different locations for quality, taste, and experience.

Whom do we blame? We have nobody to blame other than ourselves. We buy bottled water on branding and price - yet we have little understanding of what we are paying for. Often purchasing brands that aren't sourced from natural sources, and settling for colourful bottles with no nutritional value.

Thanks to water sommeliers and TikTok (if you thought TikTok was for young kids talking about silly things, think again) TikTok has been the most incredible source of information and sharing of educational content like I've never experienced before. The education platform is real and the message that water is not just water has carried far, and water sommeliers are even trendier carrying the advocacy for water.

Changing perceptions: We are all creatures of habit, where we have always done things the way things have always been done. Now we're looking at water differently; because water is different.

Do you understand what you are paying for when it comes to the water you drink?

Processed waters are not the future of beverages but rather water with nutrition value, from a natural place, and with a source of quality. Beverage companies too - will be moving in this direction, making use of natural water to make other beverages, and will no longer be able to hide behind a simple statement of "water" as an ingredient.
