Addicted to technology...?!

Hello... I'm addicted to technology.

Technology is amazing but seriously addictive. People who were deprived of the internet said that they feel

'upset and lonely and find going offline as hard as quitting smoking or drinking'.

And you, how do you feel without the Internet? Can you imagine it?

You wake up every day thanks to the alarm clock on your phone. Turning it off leads to checking e-mails and messages. When you're fully awake, conveniently, your laptop is nearby and checking hundreds of RSS gathered overnight might help you save some time later....and this virtually eliminates the chance for any reasonable dialogue with your child or the partner.

At work, you're hooked to the Internet throughout the day. Of course it's a part of your job so you're justified. You're switching between tasks to perform, social networking and instant messaging, which drive several conversations simultaneously. In addition, the phone is calling, and literally every minute, you get a new e-mail, comment or other news. At some point you start to lose threads, you don't know who you're talking about what, and you completely don't know why your heart rate has risen to a higher than usual level.

Do you feel like you're in a trap? Are you dreaming about cutting off from all of it? Just have a week, day or even a few hours of peace! Although, when the time comes...for your  'unplugged' moment, you're fumbling legs and fingers in search of further information. You feel lonely and uninformed. Are you overwhelmed by a need to check, at least once, your mobile or e-mails? That's what you have? If yes, it looks like you're seriously addicted and I'm afraid you should start the internet rehab. Of course, if you still can.
