ADD4kids events: collaboratively boosting paediatrics innovation by mainstreaming demand-driven instruments
Allow me to present you with the following events of the ADD4kids project: Accelerating Demand-Driven tools 4 Paediatrics Innovation.
There project was designed to host three events: Beta, Feedback and Launch. These series of events have been designed considering three moments in every innovative venture, and using the jargon of technological startups:
ADD4kids is addresing the paediatric innovation ecosystem with a slightly different approach: the uptake of demand-driven instruments to bring the desired impact in the adoption of the meaningful innovation that can tackle paediatric greatest challenges.
In order to do this, Agència de Qualitat i Avaluació Sanitàries de Catalunya (AQuAS) has organized these three events at this phase of the project, to engage with the findings and analysis that the consortium has collected and debated, along with the interviews and basal analysis on paediatrics and demand-driven instruments. This next step is addressing a series of working groups and keynote presentations that will guide the adoption journey of paediatric health care providers, as well the systematic approach by public bodies and health care systems in triggering policies and mechanisms that can influence this collaborative action in paediatrics.
In the Beta event: ADDing the foundation bricks to your structure. The whole intervention was based on introducing the project, and enabling the first working groups to kick-start a collaborative engagement to address how the peadiatric stakeholders may address this current process.
At the ADD4kids Feedback event: 4ever building bridges in paediatric innovation, after the feedback from the Beta event was gathered and analized, some improvements were made in the recruitment of relevant actors, internal alingment with consortium members, and engagement desing to open the scope of ADD4kids to other stakeholders and institutions that can build up the feedback about our intervention, and to integrate new collaborative voices in this choral effort to address vision forward.
Three new working groups will be launched, and a brief recap from the working groups in the Beta event will be presented. Moreover, three keynote presentations will introduce some of the framework of understanding the common EU market as an opportunity from EIT Health , and understanding the strategic approach from Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona and Children's Memorial Health Institute to introduce the elements that ADD4kids may lead to by aligning with internal actors and and upgrading strategies.
At the Feedback event the three working groups will deal with cross-border procurement, in an intention to learn how to deal with cross-border projects complexities, or addressing how to boost demand-driven paediatrics by navigating policies and funding, and how strengthening networks may allow collaborative action with the ADD4kids focus.
Finally, at the ADD4kids launch event, a more systemic approach will be launched by addressing PCP and PPI projects collaborations to take place, while also extending the need for internal alignement of stakeholders in order to boost a plan that includes demand-driven instruments, both for healthcare providers, and health systems. This systemic approach will also be touces in the last working group, considering the Catalan Case of establishing some systemic interventoins and support mechanisms that may be replicable and adapted to other health systems.
