ADB Scales Up Support for Water Supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene Services in Cambodia
In 2022, only 20% of Cambodia’s rural population had access to clean water supplies, while 34% had access to safe sanitation.
A new ADB initiative aims to enhance climate-resilient water supply, sanitation, and hygiene facilities (WASH) for 88,000 households across 400 rural villages.
ADB has a long-standing partnership with the country's government to support the water supply, sanitation, and hygiene sectors. To date, over 1 million people have already benefited from the bank's WASH services.
