ADB Commits Record Climate Finance for Asia and the Pacific

In 2023, ADB committed a record $9.8 billion in climate finance to help cut emissions and progress toward a net-zero future. The amount included $5.5 billion for mitigation and $4.3 billion for adaptation, a significant increase from 2022.

Asia and the Pacific is on the frontline in the battle against climate change.

The region produces more than half of the world's carbon dioxide emissions and is facing the destructive effects of climate change, from extreme weather conditions to torrential rains and prolonged droughts.
