Turation is a Cambridge-based industrial AI startup. At Turation, we work on intelligent factory solutions to bring next-generation AI to High-Mix Low-Volume (HMLV) manufacturers.

From prototype aerospace components to individually fitted earphones, custom products are made to order in small batches. Defective products are returned for rework, back to a factory already experiencing production flow problems due to a high product mix. Poor quality and lead times increase costs for manufacturers. Turation aims to reduce such problems through its adaptable AI technology, which is capable of detecting defects early on within continuous streams of diverse, small-batch products and optimising the makespan with adaptive rescheduling in response to production disruptions even in dynamic HMLV settings.
